MetaCarta's Hosted Content Collections are extensive geographic content indexes covering specific topics such as news or energy, displayed on a map interface. MetaCarta's Collections can be used in a multitude of ways -- create a revenue generating customer-facing portal; supplement content within an enterprise with industry-specific information; share knowledge across various office locations; the possibilities are endless.
MetaCarta offers two types of Hosted Content Collections:
- MetaCarta GeoSearch News
- GeoSearch News indexes an extensive collection of more than 4,200 national, international and local news sources every hour. This includes direct news feeds from the Associated Press and Reuters. GeoSearch News acquires thousands of fresh news stories from around the globe every hour.
- MetaCarta GeoSearch Energy
- MetaCarta GeoSearch Energy provides a simple and cost-effective way to discover energy related intelligence, supplementing the internal data generally used to make critical business decisions. MetaCarta has amassed over 5,000 sites of industry-targeted information in the GeoSearch Energy index to serve as a critical resource for students, energy industry researchers and analysts.
MetaCarta's technical capability known as "Aggregated Search" enables users to find content indexed on multiple on-premise or hosted Appliances, including MetaCarta Appliances which host the Content Collections listed above.
