Summary
Departments and agencies at the state and local government level rely heavily on accurate, timely intelligence to make good decisions.Many U.S. state governments are developing, or have implemented information systems for gathering, storing, and disseminating criminal intelligence information. Without a way to efficiently find information within these systems, analysts and law enforcement officials lack the capabilities to assemble or exchange intelligence about criminal conspiracies or terrorist activities.
Analysts, investigators and task force members spend countless hours analyzing information to solve criminal cases and prevent illegal activity.
