Meador’s distinguished government service coupled with his experience in assisting early stage technology companies will prove especially useful in strengthening MetaCarta’s already considerable customer base within the national security community and private sector while helping the company continue its healthy growth record.
Prior to joining MetaCarta, Meador served for 25 years on the academic staff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he has held various teaching and research appointments in the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management and the School of Engineering. At MIT he contributed to the original development of the field of decision support systems and has advised many corporations and government agencies on the design and implementation of such technologies.
He specializes in the challenges of aligning technology strategy with organizational strategy and structure to improve the overall effectiveness, agility and cycle-time of an organization. He has also held senior appointments in a number of organizations in the national security community. Meador’s graduate degrees in engineering and management are from MIT and he has held fellowships from the National Science Foundation, MIT, and the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory. He has also taught at Oxford University’s Center for Management Studies and the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne.
